Mark John Ostrum - 2014-08-12 00:00:00A posting on our Facebook Page remembering the first miles of my road back to faith.
Mark John 'mj' Ostrum - 2012-08-31 00:00:00A question came up... well a comment really... in which a Christian stated he does not follow the Old Testament as it is too much smiting, while the New Testament is all about love. I gave it thought, and realized that what we have is a case where one without the other essentially makes both useless alone, but when we take both in context of each other, only then can salvation be fully defined.
Mark John Ostrum - 2011-11-09 00:00:00We all receive forwarded chain-emails that promise special blessings if you pass them on. Some also promise negative consequences if they are not passed on. Inevitably these emails throw in at the end some bull**** form of a test of faith. This is a classic example. I am not sorry about use of the words I use in this email, and I seriously doubt God will judge me unfavorably for using them.
Mark John Ostrum - 2011-11-03 00:00:00It has been many years now since I've written. Here is a brief update on my life since I began this ministry, and also discusses maintaining, or my my case restoring, the correct perspective on prayer and expectations of blessings.
Mark John Ostrum - 2006-02-05 13:32:00Observations about the world around us show us that many Christians are taking political action. This article looks at injustices committed against Christianity, and what God's word says about it.
Mark John Ostrum - 2004-11-14 16:56:00In the aftermath of the 2004 presidential elections hundreds or thousands have undertaken the task of praising or bashing the Christian beliefs about morality. This feature provides a glimpse of what God?s Word has to say about morality and how we, as Christians should approach the topic of morality in our society today.
Mark John Ostrum - 2004-11-06 19:14:00How far out of your comfort zone are you willing to go to do the work the Lord has done? Are you willing to take risks, to even put your life on the line to share the good news? This article addresses the plight of a certain segment of our society that most, even Christians, deem as unfit to even look at ? some of the scum of society ? the homeless. By his example and as a result of his own plight Mark John Ostrum challenges you to step out of your own personal comfort zone; to make sacrifices beyond giving from your wallet to bring the good news to the same types of people Jesus brought his message to.
Mark John Ostrum - 2004-10-13 21:27:54The question here is asked in astonishment, in reply to those who ask me "What truth are you seeking?", " What is truth?", or some variation of these questions. If you can't handle truth, don't bother reading this article. But if you are able to accept truth in God's word, be prepared for a ride.
Mark John Ostrum - 2004-10-02 19:27:00The first article in line with our first mission statement, to come against so-called Christian ministries who teach deception.
Mark John Ostrum - 2004-09-27 20:45:29An introduction to how to come humbly before the Lord in prayer, when all your other prayers seem to be falling on deaf ears. A follow up to "Amazing Grace - The Blessings Of God Restored". Includes a real example of how God brings Mark John to a point of utter reliance on the Lord, and links to yet another real life transcript of a conversation mj had with a woman in a similar situation in her life as he had been for two years (or more if we count the emotional bankruptcy of mj from 1996-2004). A remarkable miracle of God opening the heart and eyes of another person who was unwilling to admit her failures before God, just as mj was unwilling during his lifetime until he was reconciled to God. You will have to take a good, hard look at yourself after you read these two accounts.
